E-customs
Since 2014, the BRZ has been responsible for the development and operation of 30 applications for e-customs.
This means that many customs administration processes are handled electronically (e.g. paperless customs clearance or electronic interactions between customs administrations in Europe). A total of 1,200 companies are connected to e-customs, and more than 4.5 million customs declarations per year are processed electronically.
